Custom Tool Bag Manufacturer in China | OEM | Ronta
Ronta manufactures heavy-duty custom tool bags in China. OEM/ODM designs feature reinforced bases, tool organizers, durable fabrics and custom logos.
Materials & Construction
Heavy shells
1680D and 900D ballistic nylon for the main body of totes, backpacks and rolling bags that take daily abrasion and load.
Lighter shells
600D polyester for tool rolls, pouches and bucket organizers where weight and pack-down matter more than heavy load.
Bases & abrasion
Tarpaulin or molded EVA bases on every bag that gets set on the ground, so the bottom does not soak through or wear through.
Hardware
YKK or equivalent zippers with lockable pulls, metal D-rings, acetal side-release buckles, and custom zipper pullers held on the sample card.
Foam & structure
EPE and EVA foam for padded walls and tool slots, PE board for a base that holds its shape, and 210D polyester linings inside.
Recycled options
RPET polyester where a lower-impact line is part of the brief, with material documentation available on request.
What We Specify
A base that soaks through
Every bag that sits on the ground gets a tarpaulin or molded EVA base. The base material is matched to the surface — concrete, gravel, rooftop — and confirmed on the sample.
Risk if left unspecified: A thin polyester base that wicks water off a wet floor straight into the tool compartment. The bag looks fine; the tools rust.
Straps that tear out
Strap anchors are bar-tacked and box-stitched into reinforced panels, and the load path is checked on the sample. A carry handle and strap are tested with the real tool weight, not empty.
Risk if left unspecified: A shoulder strap sewn into a single seam line. A loaded bag pulled by the strap rips the stitching and drops the whole kit.
Pockets that do not fit the tools
We ask for the tool list or the tools themselves, and lay out pocket width, depth and slot count around it. Each tool gets a defined home, and a missing tool is obvious at a glance.
Risk if left unspecified: Generic pockets sized by guess. A wrench sits loose, a multimeter does not fit, and the technician ends up digging through one big compartment.
A reorder that no longer matches
Approved patterns, shade references and hardware samples stay on file. A reorder is cut from those, not from memory, and new colors can be added without redeveloping the bag.
Risk if left unspecified: No material card, so fabric shade, webbing and hardware drift between seasons and the reorder looks like a different product.
Production Process
Tool list & use case
Which tools go in the bag, where it is carried, and what floor it sits on. We ask for the tool list, a reference sample, or the tools themselves, and flag base, carry and pocket needs before sampling.
Pre-production sample
A physical sample after materials, pocket layout and carry are confirmed, built the way the bulk order will be built — not a showroom stand-in.
Fit & load check
You load the sample with the real tools, check the carry under load, the base on the floor, and the logo placement. Approved specs and material cards stay on file for the reorder.
Bulk
Cutting, sewing and assembly in our 3,000 m² Xiamen facility. Lead time depends on quantity and fabric availability, and is confirmed in the quote.
Cartons out
Polybags, hangtags and carton marks to your warehouse spec. FOB Xiamen, CIF or DDP by sea or air, with commercial documents for your broker.
Frequently Asked Questions
What types of tool bags do you manufacture as OEM?
We produce open-top tool totes, tool backpacks, tool rolls and pouches, tool belts and hip pouches, wheeled tool bags, hard-shell EVA tool cases, bucket organizers, and shoulder messenger tool bags. Every style is built to your custom tool list, fabric, carry and branding.
What is the MOQ for a custom tool bag?
MOQ generally starts at 500 pieces per style and colorway. Stock-fabric builds can sometimes start lower. Custom-dyed fabric, molded EVA bases with new tooling, or full-coverage print may need a higher quantity, confirmed in the quotation.
Can you size the pockets to our specific tools?
Yes. Send the tool list, a reference sample, or the tools themselves, and we lay out pocket width, depth and slot count around them. Each tool gets a defined home, and a missing tool is obvious at a glance — the point of a custom tool bag.
What base material do you use on a tool bag?
Every bag that sits on the ground gets a tarpaulin or molded EVA base, matched to the surface it lands on — concrete, gravel, rooftop. We do not use a thin polyester base that soaks water through to the tools.
Can you build a hard-shell EVA case with custom foam?
Yes. We mold EVA shells and cut foam inserts to hold specific tools, instruments and service kits in defined positions. New shell tooling may raise the MOQ; we confirm this in the quote.
How long do sampling and bulk production take?
Pre-production samples take 7–12 days after materials are confirmed. Bulk production is typically 35–45 days after sample approval, depending on quantity and fabric availability. The confirmed schedule travels with the quotation.
Will a reorder match the first batch?
Approved patterns, material cards and hardware samples stay on file, so a reorder matches the original sample in color, dimension and pocket layout. New colors can be added without repeating the full development cycle.
Which markets do you ship to?
We export to more than 60 countries, including North America, Europe, Australia and the Middle East, on FOB, CIF or DDP terms, with commercial documents for your broker.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes. We can sign an NDA before reviewing drawings, tool lists or samples. Patterns and branding developed for your project are used only for your orders.
Tool Types
Open-top tool totes
A wide-mouth bag that stays open on the floor so a technician can reach in without looking. Built in 1680D ballistic nylon with a molded base that survives being set down on concrete and gravel.
Tool backpacks
A two-strap pack that keeps both hands free on ladders and rooftops. Front organizer panel, padded back, and a hard base so the bag stands upright when dropped.
Tool rolls & pouches
A roll-out layout that keeps wrenches, sockets and bits visible and separated by size. Light, packable, and the cheapest way to issue a standardized kit to a field crew.
Tool belts & hip pouches
A worn kit for framers and carpenters who need a hammer, tape and fasteners at hand all day. Hammer loop, tape clip and bar-tacked belt loops sized to your belt standard.
Wheeled tool bags
A rolling bag for heavy power tools and cordless kits that would wreck a shoulder strap. Telescoping handle, skate wheels and a reinforced hard base rated to the load you specify.
Hard-shell EVA tool cases
A molded EVA shell with custom-cut foam inserts that hold each tool in a defined place. Used for calibrated instruments, test gear and service kits where a missing tool must be obvious at a glance.
Bucket tool organizers
A fabric caddy that wraps a standard 5-gallon bucket, turning it into a 30-pocket tool kit. Low cost, high capacity, and a common issue item for facilities and maintenance crews.
Shoulder & messenger tool bags
A single-strap bag for an electrician or service tech who carries a defined kit between rooms and floors. Wide opening, tape strap, and a base that does not tip when set down.
Customizations
Pocket architecture
The number, size and depth of pockets is set by the tool list. We ask for the kit — or the tools themselves — and lay out slots so each tool has a defined home and a missing one is obvious.
Carry system
Backpack straps, single shoulder strap, carry handles, D-rings for a hook, or a telescoping handle and wheels. The carry is chosen for how far and how often the kit moves on site.
Shell & base
1680D or 900D ballistic nylon for the shell, with a tarpaulin or molded EVA base that resists water and abrasion where the bag is set down. Base material is matched to the floor it lands on.
Color & branding
Pantone-matched panels, reflective piping, woven labels, embroidery, screen print and rubber patches. A flat panel is reserved for your logo so it sits clean, not over a seam or zipper.
Hardware
YKK or equivalent zippers with lockable pulls, metal or acetal buckles, D-rings, hook-and-loop, and custom zipper pullers. Hardware color is held on the sample card so a reorder matches.
Packing & labels
Individual polybags, hangtags, barcodes and export carton marks to your warehouse spec. Your labels and SKU coding — no factory branding on the finished bag.
Scenes
Construction & trades
Open totes and tool backpacks built for high-rise and site work — a molded base that survives concrete, a wide mouth for a gloved hand, and carry that leaves both hands free on a ladder.
Electrical & low-voltage
Shoulder bags and rolls sized to wire strippers, multimeters and insulated tools, with pocket depth that keeps a tester upright and a tape strap on the outside.
Automotive & mechanic
Wheeled bags and totes that carry cordless impacts and socket sets to the bay, with a hard base rated to the load and pockets deep enough to hold a full socket rail.
HVAC & facilities
Tool backpacks for technicians who climb to rooftops and crawl under units, with a padded back, a hard base, and a layout that keeps gauges and meters protected in transit.
